Gym-sinners, take note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 10pt;\">Always<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wipe up your sweat \u2013 Leaving a pool of perspiration on the bench press for the next person to lie in is as unsavoury as spitting into your palm before shaking someone\u2019s hand. It\u2019s also a distracting sight for anyone psyching themselves up to lift a hundred kilos. Mop up!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use deodorant \u2013 Nobody wants to work out next to someone enshrouded in the insufferable fug of body odour.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Put the weights back \u2013 Return discs and dumbbells to their rightful place and, if you\u2019re on the bench press, leave the next user with an unloaded barbell. Don\u2019t leave things on the floor for people to trip over.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Sometimes<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Switch off your music \u2013 A moot point, this one. You\u2019re in the gym alone, hardcore rap\/Bollywood hits\/Coldplay pumping out from your iPhone, when in walks another person. You may have arrived before them but it would be presumptuous of you to think that they share your musical taste, right? Better to be polite and ask if it bothers them. If they\u2019re nice, they\u2019ll say no anyway.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Never<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Take your mobile \u2013 You go to the gym to exercise \u2013 and we don\u2019t mean your vocal chords. Can you picture Manny Pacquiao removing his boxing gloves mid sparring session to send a text?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yell out \u2013 You\u2019re pushing yourself and you want to show everyone that you can throw it around a little. But there\u2019s no need to sound like a grizzly bear giving birth.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hog the machines \u2013 Don\u2019t linger on the same piece of equipment for too long. It\u2019s inconsiderate and won\u2019t endear yourself to other gym users, especially the fanatic ones whose day can be ruined if they don\u2019t complete a full session.
