Read on for some tips on how to avoid arriving home with a closet-full of crap.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Get the most for your clothing dollar by checking for these five signs of good quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eye the pattern \u201cLook at the fabric to see if the patterns line up at the seams,\u201d says professional stylist Alison Deyette, founder of AliOnTheGo.com. \u201cIf they don\u2019t, it\u2019s a sure sign of poor craftsmanship.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Check the stitching to see that it lies flat. Any puckering or bumpiness is a red flag of hasty sewing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Look under the buttons to see if they\u2019re snugly reinforced with loops of thread.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If a piece you like has a zipper, try it a few times. If properly attached, it will zip smoothly.
