The key to keeping a soft look is to use sheer and muted colors and not to overdo any area of your face. You can buy different sheer, beautiful pinks at any cosmetic counter that will look good on all different types of skin tones, no matter whether you are pale white or a deep brown.

If you can only buy one new product for your new look make it a pink lip gloss with brown undertones. This color looks gorgeous and fantastic on everyone.

To create your new look curl your eyelashes and apply either black or brown mascara, making sure you don't use too much. After washing and preparing your facial skin the way your do, softly contour your cheeks with a very pale, sheer pink blush just on your cheekbones, keeping it light. You need just an accent of a neutral pink to give your face a lift. By just dipping the blush brush lightly into the color and then tapping it off before applying it gently helps to prevent too much. Now you add a lip gloss to your lips and your are set too go.

In your adventures up and down the cosmetic aisle at your drugstore or favorite department store, you have no doubt seen the kits with a palette of three colors or four colors of eye shadow packed in one compact. The manufacturers do this for you to take the guess work out of finding three hues that work together in the same color family - light, medium and dark. You can certainly use one color for your entire eye area for a simple and clean look, but once you know how to apply all three colors you will be surprised at the gorgeous eyes you will see looking back at you!

Apply eye primer to clean eyelids; this will prevent your makeup from creasing throughout the day. Over the primer, apply a flesh tone eye shadow or concealer from lash line to brow bone. The concealer serves as a base that allows the colors you use to start with flawless skin, a sort of clean canvas, in the eye area.
